The lights are off and nobody's home....when disaster strikes a major real estate conference in Boston. Captains log. Day 2 without power in backbay and the natives are restless (aka: 900 real estate investors here for a conference) If you thought that places like the Marriott and Westin had back up generators for emergency situations such as a fire, you'd have thought wrong. In fact, we are lucky to even get to our rooms without working elevators. Apparently, there is, in fact a god, because I was able to take a hot shower this morning. In the dark, but who cares at this point. Boston, seriously let's get it together here. You act like you've never had a fire before. Well, time to go to this conference...will it be held by candlelight? Like a vigil? hope people didn't need to iron their suits. Or a hairdryer...Today should be interesting. Will report back later.
